I'm afraid it will be like this, but with cheesy light effects.

When I saw this, I'm like Will Smith won't stop until he gets an Oscar Nomination and Oscar win.

I feel like he's going to keep acting in this type of Oscar bait movies til he gets his haha.

I do want to see this movie though.

Ethan Hawke and John Goodman is in this as well. I'm going to have to look up the graphic novel before it comes out just to hold me over til he does.

Oh and Rihanna is in there too.

I will just have to get over the white washed character the same way that I did with the monk in Dr. Strange that could have clearly been playing by a minority actor.

Meh, unless being Japanese is part of her character (it's not) then I don't think it matters as much in animation. Westerners already think anime characters look white anyway so I don't see how making the actress Japanese would benefit the movie.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Don't watch that GITS trailer. Watch this one.

Seriously.
It still.. well, looks odd. I don't mind Scarlett as Major Motoko (the fact that I start drooling when I think of ms Johanson doesn't hurt) but other than that ... The original trailer looks like someone saw the trailers for all the movies and tv series, only the trailers, and decided to make sth new and "supercool" with it. And Batou looks ridiculous.

As for Valerian - all I can say is finally! This was one of the most important comic books for me when I was growing up, though I didn't have this issue. The one where they came back in time to late 21st century NYC, flooded after global warming and full of looters.. it was one of the best and original stories a kid like me could get his hands on.
The movie .. well, we'll see - Luc Besson can create wonders, but what I really liked is that for the first time the screen is just as busy in the movie as it was in the comics. I'm hyped for this one really.
