Adult cartoons
The Simpsons
Futurama
King of the Hill
Family Guy
South Park
Archer
Bob's Burgers
Monkey Dust
Bojack Horseman
Beavis and Butthead

Subcategory idea: Adult Swim cartoons
Rick and Morty
The Boondocks
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Metalocalypse
Squidbillies
Superjail!
Robot Chicken
Home Movies
The Venture Bros
Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law

And do we want a limit of ten or just let the categories run as they need to?

You need American Dad in there too.
Robot Chicken I say no: I'm talking about restricting this to actual cartoons, in other words, drawn, whether by hand or on computer. RC is live action so I don't want to include that kind of thing, same as I wouldn't include Wallace and Gromit, even though I love them.

Fine, give the rest of the shows a free round. Maybe people will watch some Monkey Dust before voting it off if we do that.

Just a point on decades: even really cutting it down to what seemed the essentials I came up with this list for the sixties alone:

Popeye
Mister Magoo
Flintstones
Bugs Bunny
Top Cat
Yogi Bear
Snagglepuss
Deputy Dawg
Touche Turtle
Casper
Porky Pig
Magilla Gorilla
Stingray
Roger Ramjet
Secret Squirrel
Batfink
The New Adventures of Superman
Roadrunner
Spiderman
Fantastic Four
Justice League of America
Superman
The Archie Show
Wacky Races
The Ant and the Aardvark
Dastardy and Muttley in their Flying Machines
Scooby Doo
Heckle and Jeckle
Mighty Mouse
Pink Panther
