I'm happy that you made this thread... I think that Overwatch League could become a multi-billion dollar industry. Trust me, I know a lot about money... The only problem is Overwatch League does not air on local TV. Seriously, someone should put Overwatch League on CBS or ABC. Then Overwatch League could compete with the NFL, the NBA, the MLB, etc.
Video-gaming = a sport (I'm serious)
Here's why:
1. Professional video-gamers have coaches and they go to training sessions (just like real athletes).
2. Video-gamers use mathematical proof and statistics to market their brand. They use mathematical studies to improve their performances (just like professional athletes).
3. Many people attend live video-gaming events (just like many people attend live football events, live baseball games, live hockey games, etc.)
If you want to make money fast, I would advise you to invest in video-gaming...
I don't watch the league but I follow a twitch streamer who does OWL breakdowns and has guests/pros visit his stream, and there has been a lot of talk about the future of OWL and expanding upon it to levels of professional sports. Definitely a great time to break into coaching, casting, and other esports related careers if it's something you are interested in. Hardwork though.

imo the game does not translate to pro play well at all. after a couple weeks i gave up on watching it. the xQC drama and stuff like that makes me even less interested.

Each pro round I've seen only goes for about 3 mins also.

did my console placements this weekend just for something to do... ended up going 8-2 and then hit a 5 game winstreak after finishing them. 13/2 so far this season. my duo partner got placed plat but i got a fair bit lower, guessing it’s cause i haven’t played on console the last two seasons. still pretty pleased with it. been exploiting my high iq d.va plays for free sr.

I played this game for a while but it got a little old, mostly because Blizzard takes so long to add stuff. It's almost been 2 years since release and there's only been 6 added characters.
But when I did play I liked it for quite a while. I only played ranked for one season but I was high plat, only 2 or so wins from diamond. I'll probably pick it up again someday but I doubt I'll ever play it too seriously for an extended period
