MB's Video Game Classics: The Binding of Isaac
 

I'm fully aware that there are a select few that know of this series, but this game is what really kicked off roguelike games in general.

Never played it, but would like to. I could imagine it being very much in my wheelhouse.

I think you'd enjoy it. The sequel Rebirth / Afterbirth is insurmountably better, but this one will be seen as a classic.

Hate it. I tried to like it, I really did, but it was awful. Can't argue about it kicking off roguelikes though.

It's not for everyone. The game is dated these days so I always recommend Rebirth over the original any day.
