MB's Video Game Classics: Animal Crossing New Leaf

Perhaps one of my favorites in the Animal Crossing line of games. I'd say it's als the most fun and most filled gamed in the series.

Solid 4/5 since I didn't actually finish everything I could.

Played the first few Animal Crossing games, but not this one.

Chillest series ever. Fun without even trying to be. The kind of games that give you plenty to do, but also give you a sort of daily soft cap, so you don't get too addicted. Basically, the kind of games that care about your health, and want to hug you, and you're like "Hey, **** you, I don't want to wait two days to pick more fruits, and sit around until tomorrow for that **** Nook to stock more ****."

My favorite things was to send crude and awful letters to my neighbors and watching them respond in the nicest ways.

**** this franchise.

Nah. Any kind of tepid video game that's not out to overstimulate my 21st century brain gets chucked.

"**** subtlety, instant gratification is god," says musician who couldn't even write a pop song. Interview at 11.

Frownland 07-02-2018 08:00 AM

Long term gratification is a waste of time, straight up.

Oriphiel 07-02-2018 08:08 AM

Good thing you didn't apply that logic to TMR, or you never would have given it multiple chances and let it grow on you over the years.

Now quit bitching out and write that pop song.

Frownland 07-02-2018 08:11 AM

TMR pays off pretty immediately. A better example would be some kind of drone piece.

If I had time to make music I'd be dropping albums regularly. **** a pop song.

Nah, only after repeated listening. You yourself admitted that you were pretty meh about it the first time around. Almost everyone is.

Meh? Nah son. Overstimulated to the point of disgust.

Oriphiel 07-02-2018 09:23 AM

Maybe Animal Crossing was the same way for you. Only familiarity can tell.

Did Beefheart sneak it in like Chula?

Key 07-02-2018 09:24 AM

Favorite neighbor? I always liked Mitzi because she was the only cat in my town. Then she moved away and I stopped playing.

Oriphiel 07-02-2018 09:25 AM

Kabuki 4 lyfe.

Key 07-02-2018 09:29 AM

I also love that when you don't play for a while, weeds just grow all over the place. It's like "hey **** you for being lazy."

Loved New Leaf. Was super hooked on it with my brother, got a lot of good co-op in. Was really sad they didn't make a Wii U iteration.

I want a new Switch AC with good online. I know this is oxymoronic considering Nintendo.

Key 07-03-2018 02:26 PM

^I think they'll do something though but I don't think we'll hear about it until a Nintendo Direct
