Yeah I ****ing guess so. Seriously though, watching Jeffrey Dahmer's high school life feels crazy and way too close for comfort.

So now that I actually have wireless headphones finally, I GUESS I want podcast recommendations. Podcasts centered around (or just adjacent to) the following topics would be nice: pop culture analysis (especially of the trashier variety, or old hollywood), unsolved disappearances, non-murder mysteries beyond the obvious famous ones, um sociology in general I suppose as well as The Internet in general (especially if it involves murder and schemes), anything food related especially if it involves food trends of yore and is not overly pretentious or snooty, britney spears, enochian magic, gnosticism and gnostic-adjacent/dualistic early religions, Mesopotamia, mental illness/psychiatry in america (including anti-psychiatry/psychiatry critical stuff as I find it very interesting), folklore, conspiracy theories (of the more whimsical variety), cats dogs wolves birds etc.

Last Podcast on the Left is the obvious fiest step.

Chio:

You should start your own podcast. Just talk about anything that enters your head.

I don't know. I'd have a hard time finding my target audience of 3 people. Me and the now ex-bff contemplated making one just to have an excuse to use our various stupid characters (such as Cole and Marge-- short for Coleslaw and Margarine ofc-- who are elderly southern church ladies that secretly worship a pyramid head esque entity named Ol' Hammermouth. Things like that) but few people would want to listen to that. I'd prefer to focus on one topic so that it doesn't get too chaotic. (Like my favorite conspiracy theories, or something. I am obsessed with the Saturn Moon Matrix/Saturn Time Cube believers. Ooh and the Electric Universe/plasma apocalypse people) As I mentioned before, I used to want to create a Welcome to Night Vale type podcast-- but more understated, you know, less *gestures vaguely*-- before Welcome to Night Vale existed, so after it came out I thought "Well now I'm not gonna!" and didn't. (That and I ran out of my Ritalin and never got a new prescription and now I live in a different state and have no doctor to prescribe me Ritalin)

I had heard the name of that podcast numerous times but never looked it up till now (sometimes I'll just stubbornly refuse to do so even if I hear it's good) but I did just now and it DOES seem very much in line with my interests, ty. I'll listen while cleaning my room later/tomorrow.

Unfortunately our interests are only tangentially related so I can never quite rec anything specific. I mean if you were interested in more murdery stuff I'd have good stuff for you but mystery disappearance stuff that isn't linked to a serial killer doesn't interest me as much cause I just want to imbibe the chaotic evil.

If you ever find any good conspiracy stuff hit me up though. I don't have that much good for that besides QAnonAnonymous which doesn't sound up your alley but I also love the Annunaki Coast-to-Coast-AM type ****.

Well I am ofc interested in things beyond the list I provided, so all of you should still feel free to recommend whatever. I AM interested in more murdery stuff too, (even trashy ID channel shows) it's just that I'm picky about it. (And I like non-murder mysteries equally, especially ones that could potentially be either evil/murdery OR mundane) I know there's a countless amount of murdery podcasts out there but if it bored me for more than 30 seconds or if I found any of the hosts annoying I know I'd likely end up closing it and just reading about the case online instead.

And as for the QAnon stuff, I mean it's interesting to me as a cultural phenomenon of course. It's just not as fun and festive as the saturn moon matrix/hollow earth type stuff. Or things like alien whistleblowers and MK-Ultra (though I know there's lots of qanon types/former reptilian believer types who think literally every other celebrity is a MK-Ultra slave who has an actual full-time handler/programmer and literal clones of themselves waiting to be used. They seem to believe this solely because they don't understand the concept of aging/looking haggard sometimes and plastic surgery etc. I love reading Britney Spears conspiracy theories even though it makes me feel bad/guilty when I think of her ever stumbling across them, kind gentle soul that she is)
