Winter solstice seems to be very symbolic with me being that it's the shortest day of the year. It's like metaphorical rock bottom with nowhere to go but up.

i just had the Chinese Winter Solstice Festival yesterday

celebrated by eating flour dumplings with brown sugar in the centre with a sugary consomme
