In 3's

I've been putting this off for quite sometime now, I feel. I just wasn't quite sure I was ready to start my own journal. Though I've a lot to say about music, I never thought I had enough to dedicate an entire thread to what I listen to, so in my journal, I'll be reviewing not only my favorites, but suggested albums as well. Also, because I'm consistently watching films and reading, I'd like to somehow incorporate them into my reviews whether it be actually reviewing them or correlating them to the album I'm writing about. The latter will, of course, be more challenging, but I'm always up for a challenge. My original idea was to review "In 3's" - an album, a book and a film. All which will relate to one another, but I find that to be damn near impossible; however, I'll still leave it open as an option because let's face it, I would be so ****ing cool if I could do that. Reviews, random rantings on music, and more to come soon.

I'm pretty sure you can do it. I found many similarities in book, film and music, and I don't think any can exist without the other (or my life at least). Looking forward for that journal, maybe cause I don't really know much about your taste, yet.

Whatever you do - you should write it in 3s.
It is the name of your journal after all (the apostrophe is grammatically incorrect, though) and it is a really good way to keep yourself motivated to write here. In my journal I think of 3 things I want to write and post them. That way it's easier to stay focused and not let your journal die. 3 is just enough and not too many. It's also my favorite number so get to it.

That's a really great journal concept. I'm looking forward to it. Bonus points if you can tie the three mediums together.

Actually, I noted that as well. After some thought, I left it. Because the apostrophe is possessive, I feel it represents my taste, my reviews, etc. Call it a distasteful play on words, if you'd like. 3 is my favorite number as well. :) Power of three is everywhere and I'll be writing about that, too. I see that I'm getting pressured to start on the journal already. Give me some leeway here, guys. I'm on vacation and would much rather have my music collection with me before I start dissecting anything. Thanks for the feedback.

Im really lookin forward to this one. Im convinced you have more than enough content to fill a journal, regardless of whether you feel you do or not.

Anyone on here that can review films and keep me interested is definitely worthy of a read. So far no one has done that for me.

3+3+3= 9
3x3x3= 27= 2+7 = 9

Nothing else to add.

I cannot write something meaningful until I shed a piece of myself first. I used to be an avid writer. I've journals upon journals scattered throughout my life. Some filled, some with pages torn out, some burnt, some trashed, but never finished. Writing and music - my two passions. I began writing at the age of 12 - your average journal of a an angry pre-teen and attempted poetry. English and literature were always my favorite in school because my first language was Vietnamese. Through the struggle of learning a new language, I fell in love with it. Though simple, the English language intrigued me at an early age. Soon, I realized it was not only English I was in love with, but language itself. Communication and expression never fails to awe me. In beginning this thread, I had hopeful expectations of rekindling my writing skills. Thus far, I've been putting it off so much, I began to look at it as a task, as a chore. I was furious that I couldn't even think of my first album to review; however, in typing that last sentence, it has all come together for me. Why I did not realize this before, I do not know.
