The first rock song, that I heard and liked, and from there on was forever addicted to rock music was, Good Lovin' Gone Bad by Bad Company.

1979

During the 70s, rock music consisted of a lot of popular blues/rock and progressive rock bands. Some of the best of the best, ever. Way.. to many to name them all.

At the same time during the 70s, Funk was at some of its best ever as well. The list is just to long to name all of the the bands and artist without leaving someone out that deserves mention.

One artist that played a role in the developement of P-Funk was Rick James, this is one of my favorite singles by him. Bustin' Out (On The Funk). From his third album release in late 1979, Bustin Out.
