Out There, Far Cry, Out to Lunch, Iron Man, and Caribé. That's the juice.

The rest of his work is just hit or miss with me. To be fair, I haven't gone too far down the rabbit hole though which is why I asked you. Your enthusiasm might change that.

Ja what he said. One of those absolutely perfect improvisers. I can see how his more sultry side doesn't set your hair on fire though, Exo.

Not bad by any sense. It just kind of happens and then the record is over.

Synergy
Jupiter Menace

I'm going through the soundtracks and shaving off some prices and just cleaning up a bit. This is the first one that caught my eye. Very very very synthy. Because, you know, SPACE AND SH*T!

Cool. Thank you for the respect.

Don’t forget the work he did for Mingus. And Oliver Nelson’s The Blues and the Abstract Truth. Dolphy did great stuff as a leader but I don’t think judging him by every record issued under his name is the right way to gauge Dolphy’s contributions to jazz.

Case in point, this reissue of Where?. Dolphy is playing his role beside Carter and also making space for Mal Waldron who was an idiosyncratic (and great) musician himself.

His contribution to Schuller's Jazz Abstractions is phenomenal as well.

That's fair. I'm honestly just starting to pay attention to the players on other records now. I just never did it for the longest time. Jazz is amazing when you start to recognize names from solo albums as players on other albums. Sounds silly that I never really did it until now. It's like lyrics, I just never looked them up so I never know the words to my favorite songs.

Pharoah Sanders is a really fun musician to listen for on any record he’s on.

I've heard some of his solo work. I'll check out his credits.

and I mean its a "documentary" on how the world is going to end in 2000 because of some grand planetary alignment.

pretty much this (both came out the same year and are based on similar sciences):
