Default Unknown (possible) classical piece?

Hi. I know that this piece of music was performed by Paul Mauriat (Minuetto), but can you tell me was it based on some original classical piece of music. If so, would you be so kind to tell me the name of that original piece and composer.

Thanks in advance

It could very well be based off of Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik:
