Please help with 80's song

I'm trying to find a song and all i can remember is the clip where this dark skinned woman is standing at a microphone singing, wearing sunglasses for what I think was the entirity of the video clip - she had very short hair. Her sunnies were possibly aviators. I think it came out in the 80's or early 90's. Not much to go on I know - Please help

Thanks for your help. Grace Jones isn't right though. Wish she was cause this has been seriously bugging me.
