Song heard during Olympics

This is what I heard:

asked you kindly, sleep won't find me
i'm alone once again
then I told you I wasn't there
but in the middle of the night you appeared with...

I'm not even sure if I heard the words right, I tend to hear something else than the actual lyrics.

It was a male voice, kinda sad, and the only instrument was piano. If anyone knows the name of this song, I'd be so grateful!

Why don't you advise us what event(s) was/were taking place when you heard the song, then it's probably on YT and someone might recognise the song?

I heard it on a video montage of the norwegian handballgirls after their gold medal. I have no idea if it was sent outside Norway.

Damn! I thought I had it!

Went through Evanescence latest album and stumbled across a track called, "Lost in Paradise". The beginning sounds the same...

Will keep looking...

I've been searching too. As it's already said, it was on a norwegian broadcast, so it's unlikely that many people heard it. I'll let you know if I find out

Also trying to talk with NRK!
