Default Born to be Wild-An Idiot Abroad-HELP!

Hi all, my apologies up front here if I'm doing this wrong. (new to forum stuff) But I saw an episode of "An Idiot Abroad" recently where the guy travels Route 66. In the opening of the show somebody does a cover of Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild". I've heard a hundred (weak/lame) covers of that tune but somebody does a KILLER version on that show and I've looked everywhere trying to find out who it is. Does anybody out there know? I would LOVE to know what band is playing that. I've never heard a version done so well...it's like hearing it for the first time...only better! Thanks MUCH in advance!

I don't know how to describe it really. It just has BALLS...a very metal sound. I checked youtube and saw hinder and it didn't sound the same. BUT, that was youtube. Maybe the studio version is better ("ballsier") and it IS hinder. It's frustrating because I looked for music credits on the "Idiot Abroad" site and found nothing. I looked everywhere else I could think of too. I have a reasonably decent HT setup and I couldn't help but keep backing up the show to that tune and cranking it! I'd love to get a copy of it... (thanks for the reply btw..I appreciate it)

No problem, I listened to that cover again now on MOG it sounds pretty ballsy. Right now im going through mog trying to hunt it down or something with a bit more stones for ya.

have you tried the version "The Cult" put out, very heavy and driving guitar riff compared to Steppenwolf along with deeper growling vocals

Also Krokus has a pretty hard hitting version

I haven't checked either of those but definitely will. Right now I need to get off this computer and get something done! Again, thanks for the replies, they're much appreciated!

@ExtremeEclectic... I finally got around to checking and I'm about 99.5% sure it was The Cult. I DIG that version... Thanks for the help. Much appreciated! I'm old enough to still find the internet amazing. This is great! Thanks again for your time..
