Sonic Inspiration?
 

I was once surfing the internet years ago, utterly obsessed about songs inspiring video game music. Particularly, Sonic the Hedgehog. Just look up Michael Jackson - Stranger in Moskow and Sonic 3 End Credits, Jetzons - Hard Times and Sonic 3 Ice Cap Zone, Bobby Brown - Every Little Step and Sonic 1 Spring Yard Zone, Dreams Come True - Kusuriyubi no Kesshin and Sonic 1 Starlight Zone, Dreams Come True - Sweet Sweet Sweet and Sonic 2 End Credits, the list goes on...

But the particular song I'm looking for sounds a little too similar to the Sonic 2 music Sky Chase Zone.

It had to have come out before 1992, which was Sonic 2's release date. I'm quite certain it was sung by a female singer too, and she may have had blond hair. That's about as much as I can give in terms of hints. Possibly blond female singer in the 80s, and one of her songs sounds like Sky Chase Zone.
