Exclamation heard soft grungey - rock song idk what it is!!

So, I was at the record store and I heard this AMAZING song, I was going to ask the employee what it was but I completely forgot and left the store with my friend. I eventually realised I could just google the lyrics but by the time I got home I only remembered a few words (not even the order). I remembered that it was sort of repeating and what genre it could be/who it sounded like. There was a male (lead?) singer, sounded like a band playing. Steady rhythm through out a lot of it (somehow reminded me of Death Grips.) Any and all help is much appreciated<3

The lyrics were a bit repeating I remember the words "eyes open" (perhaps open your eyes or keep your eyes open)

I'm not great with identifying genres but it sounded like soft rock

And the song definitely reminded me of Arctic Monkeys or Coldplay.

I've tried searching the lyrics, looking at soft rock music, trying songs with those lyrics but I really haven't found it ): Thank you very much!

I was legitimately worried it was Creed. Then we'd have to try to be polite as possible about telling you your taste in music was ****.

Because in my searching for the song I'm looking for I came across Creed a few times, it would have just been easier to find the song if it was Creed yakno (would it be good to mention artists and songs that the song I'm looking for definitely isn't?)

Well I'm not going to lie, my taste in music is pretty ass but I do not listen to Creed (just would've been easier if the song I'm lookin for was made by Creed ^^')

Not exactly soft rock, but it is repetitive and contains "keep your eyes open"...

I could name endless songs that use the words "eyes" and "open", but the soft rock part throughs me off.

If it was something you heard in a music store, go back and ask the employees or the manager, because music stores only play music that they are pushing to sell and they are usually new releases.

If it's been awhile since then, then just remember the month and year you were there, and they should still be able to tell you what they had playing at that time.
