Default Southern soul (I think) tune?!

Hello everyone. I've had this song stuck in my head for the last 3 years, and I'm sure I used to listen to it somehow, but I've lost it and it's driving me mad.

All I can remember are a few of the lyrics, a female singer, and I would probably call it Southern soul:

"I was born in the Southern land
Eat my food outta greasy pan
but that don't bother me

(the trumpets go "da dadada DA DAA, da dadada" and then the backing singers go "HOO HOO")

In the land of the Southern queen
.....
.....

It was a very old crackly recording so I would have thought quite early stuff.

If anyone knows what this is I will be so grateful!
