Default Hot Water?

((Solved))

Hey all. Happy New Year!

A friend of mine had some 45s we would listen to when we were kids and one had a song on it by a male singer, that I believe was titled "Hot Water"? It was from the late 50s or early 60s and of a slow tempo. I guess I would classify it as a rock n' roll song of the era.

Some of the lyrics were as follows:

"First, I had a date with a girl at seven o'clock, my dad let me use his car."
The song goes on as he describes the disastrous evening he has that got him in hot water.
Another line is:
"Driving down the road what could happen next? I'm in hot water up to my neck."
Also:
"Just look at me who would ever suspect, I'm in hot water up to my neck."

There were some female back up vocals and at the end when he gets to the end of the song and says "Five", The women say, "Oh forget it!"

Thanks for the help!

Default Mystery Solved!!

Found it. Now I can go on with my life!! After a deep search in Napster, it came up as a song by a guy named Denny Reed. I was surprised that it was even there.
