Searching for song title. Here is the info I remember:

1. The song is from around 1980.

2. It is an upbeat song, with a slightly whimsical flavor to it.

3. Male vocalists.

4. Can't swear to it, but pretty sure that it's *not* by a famous artist / group.

5. Might be Canadian, since I'm from Canada, and would hear it on Canada AM radio.

6. Had a nice instrumental intro.

7. The lyrics that I remember:

It's been a few years now, if you're still around, did you ever figure this out?

My father had made a CD for me that had what I am pretty sure is the song you mentioned on it. He's been gone for 20 years now and I have been trying to figure out the song for nearly that long.

I had always thought it was either "my room" or "In my room" by Billy Thorpe but that information has never gotten me anywhere.
