Default A modern day pop song with a techno-like beat

Hi all,

I'm searching for a song, and I need your help! Been driving me slightly bonkers.

The song is modern era (year 2000+) AFAIK. It is a pop song sung by an American male singer / group. The lyrics are sort of drowned out by an instrumental techno music riff that sounds completely electronically produced. The main "techno" music part plays over and over in the song, and it sounds like an 8-bit or 16-bit piece of video game music that you might find on a game like Sonic the Hedgehog. It was probably produced on a Casio Keyboard or something, but it literally has the sound of: "doo doo do do do, doo doo do do do!" at a relatively fast pace.

At first I thought it might be the band "R5" but I checked some of their songs and couldn't find a hit (but I can't rule them out exclusively). But that's the kind of sound it has I suppose. A soft-spoken male singer setting up a repeated techno video game type beat following the rhythm of "doo doo do do do, doo doo do do do!".

Hope you can help me out!
