Help Identifying a song
 

At my job we play the radio all day long but its so soft I can never hear the songs that play clearly, there is a 3 second sample stuck in my head and I need help identifying the song. The only info I have to work with is:

1. It sounds like a slow paced pop song
2. The Chorus's rhyme structure goes back and forth between "AAAAAAA" "EEEEEE" as if stretching out the word maybe, or hate me, or save me, idk what the lyrics are.
3. The only word I can make out is sanity, and it plays a soon before the chorus
4. It kind of reminds me of the My Little Pony theme song although this song is much slower, and the female singer has a slightly lower/deeper tone

If anyone has any guesses it would be much appreciated, I have tried googling the lyrics a dozen times to no avail.
