Old Song for Old Timer

I learned this little ditty in 6th or 7th grade music class back in the mid 50s. Have found myself singing or humming it every fall since then. Don't know anything about it other than the tune and some lyrics. It has a melancholy feel to it and similar in pace to Nat King Coles version of Autumn Leaves. I wouldn't classify it as jazz though, perhaps more like Folk. As I recall, the lyrics go something like this:
"Oh the autumn wind is such a lonesome wind. And it seems to cry everyday. Oh it sings a tune, such a lonesome tune as the birds and flowers go away. There are no more bright yellow butterflys, as in days gone by they were known. And it sings a tune, such a lonesome tune as the birds and flowers go away".
Fairly certain there's more to it than that but it's all I recall. It is a long shot, I know but maybe...
Thanks in advance to anyone giving it any thought. Appreciate it.

If it's folk, maybe possibly the Weavers? Don't know though since they were probably blacklisted by the mid 50s.
