panics recent album was pretty good, the old one was trash. also this is really funny=

While Panic has been called an emo band, they themselves consider their music to be "not emo" as stated in an interview with NME: "Emo is bull****. We want to be the new Radiohead."

Yeah, good luck with that.

I am currently listening to the latest Panic! album, which my daughter just purchased. I quite enjoy what I have heard, thus far. I definitely hear the descriptions that I have read... the influence from some of The Beatles' music. I have never been a big fan of the vocals, but they are much more tolerable on this album. As for the other bands mentioned, I have only heard bits and pieces. I'm not going to speculate any further than this...

Panic! was a great band in my eyes, untill I saw them @ Pukkelpop (Belgian Festival) in 2006
I want there aspecially for them, and they were awfull live, the instruments weren't tuned right, his voice was too silent
AND I saw the video of the singer getting knocked out by a stupid bottle of water and that did it for me

I think both fan base is under 20 years of age maybe under 14, so it's the teenagers groups really

I think the fans are between the teenage years up to 20's... I like their song I Write Sins Not Tragedies..

I actually quite like their singles, and it's interesting that they completely switched up their styles between the two albums. I wouldn't bother getting either of them though.

One of my favorite song from them are I Write Sins Not Tragedies and Nine In The Afternoon...

FaSho 10-17-2008 12:02 PM

their singles don't really show off their talent as muc has as their other songs "Camisado" and "Pas De Cheval" are a thousand times better than "Nine in the Afternoon"

Truthfully, I used to LOVE Panic! at the Disco.

They seem to have become a completely different band, though and I don't respect them as much.

The Academy Is... seems to have changed a lot as well.

But I haven't heard of them as much as I've heard of P!aTD.

So I tend to lean more towards TAI...

Only because I saw them live and they were phenomenol. They have to be one of my favorite performances live ever.
