I was quite apprehensive about listening to this one, but it turned out to be the best thing they've put out since Lifeblood. Easy to draw comparisons with The Holy Bible (Richey's lyrics and themes being utilized, etc.), though there is no mistaking that this is a new album and not just a grab at what they once were. 4/5

I'm a lot more impressed than i thought i'd be, certainly there's some average numbers (and Nicky Wire should never sing ever) but there's enough highlights for me to be say it's their best in a long while.

Very good. Most songs are a solid four stars (of five). Very consistent throughout. One of the band's best in that regard actually.
Love the first four tracks, Facing Page, Doors Closing and V.S.E.C. Most of the others are pretty solid too.
I liked there last one a lot too. They are very different in style. Last one more 80's retro, this one more 90's.
