lets be realistic...this album isnt for the massive radiohead fans...this is to introduce new fans to their sound...so yeah...shame that you loose the "magic" of normal track progression within their albums...but otherwise its a good product!

I agree. esp. for radiohead since their music is situated where you need to listen to the album all the way through, and not random songs. I tried that with the ipod one day with shuffle... and boy did it kill the flow of radiohead.

Yup, especially with Kid A ... my roommate has it on 10" vinyl. Just gotta start with side A and just keep flippin' it over!

I think this sums it up. There was a lot of talk about cohesion and flow, and to truly represent the band you need to have it in chronological order. That being said, I am a big fan, and bought it to listen to in the car, so that I don't have to keep changing discs. But for someone who's just getting into the band (ie, the kind of person most likely to buy a "best of" compilation) it seems scattered, and may scare some first timers off.

Although, if you're just getting into Radiohead now, whatthe Hell were you doing for the past 18 years?

Your last sentence definitely raises a good point!
