You said she "kickstarted the whole electro-pop fad". My point was that she couldn't have since the fad had already been around for years before she decided adopt that style. I don't know if I'd call it "riding on a trend" or not—more like, as I said before, late to the party.

You're right that I've never listened to the entire album. Why would I have, given my initial comment in this thread? What I did do, after you told me you felt Blackout was such a trend-setting album, was go check out some of the singles from that album on YouTube. What I was immediately stuck by about the songs was how much they reminded me of tracks like the ones I posted, all of which predate the album by a number of years.
