She has had some catchy pop singles over her career. Nothing lastingly good, but decent enough to hear once every so often.

Honestly, I've never understood her popularity at all. I have no problem with her songs being pop fluff, but I've never found any of her music to be particular catchy or memorable. And isn't that the whole point of pop music?
