At least Spears contributed to 3 tracks. She's more of an artist then than say, Rihanna, who really is pure karaoke.

Most pop singers are pretty faces. Notice I didn't say they could sing.

1. Womanizer...well we've all heard this one already. Can't think of any other lyrics apart from "womanizer". Oh wait...they are the lyrics.
2. Circus...sounds like an excuse for a live concert costume theme.
3. Out From Under...let me guess..."I'm back!"
4. Kill The Lights...Crowd pleasing live concert finale number.
5. Shattered Glass.."How I beat alcohol"
6. If U Seek Amy...lesbian sex? (has possibilities)
7. Unusual You...bio.
8. Blur...the last few years.
9. Mmm Papi..sounds incestuous (has possibilities)
10. Mannequin...sex.
11. Lace and Leather...more sex.
12. My Baby...shouldn't have had sex.
13. Radar...not got a fucking clue. Care even less!

That's hilarious. Great job.

I'm not a fan at all, but I agree that people should just leave her personal life alone.

She doesn't want them to "leave her alone." She wouldn't sell nearly as many records. You think she didn't wear underwear on accident?

psycho27292 03-18-2009 12:23 PM

i think that this album is ok but circus and womanizer are way to overplayed

I've never heard either song.

capuccino 03-18-2009 04:21 PM

overplayed...

ProggyMan 03-18-2009 05:56 PM

Circus is good.

Midi 03-18-2009 07:17 PM

I'd have to say it's kind of weak, she grabs the media through her usual obnoxious pop techniques. It works for some people and I don't have anything against people who enjoy circus, but I'd turn the knob to another radio station.

I think her media attention grabbing has less to do with her music and more to do with her personal life.

Dr_Rez 03-21-2009 05:52 PM

I voted Excellent. Probably one of the best albums to ever be released. I Love it!!!!!!!

High Voltage 03-21-2009 10:47 PM

I voted very good 'cuz I think she did very good on this album.

cherrypopgyaru 03-27-2009 04:14 PM

I think the critics who assume an album HAS to have deep, meaningful lyrics and not sound digitized are WRONG. They obviously only listen to one type of music then.

As a dance / club / pop album this is incredibly good. There's a lot of variety in the music. A lot of the lyrics are conceited, but hey, she IS Britney. I think the variation of the album makes this especially good.

And personally I'm glad not every song was a sultry love song (Mariah Carey) or a teen romance song (Taylor Swift) or a "I'm a strong woman" song (Beyonce). There was a lot of variety on that end too.

I think that's hitting the nail on the head.

Schizotypic 04-01-2009 05:40 PM

I'm going to listen to this entire album and get back to this thread, just because I can't hate something I didn't listen to. That would be retarded.

Schizotypic 04-01-2009 05:55 PM

1.Womanizer: It has a good beat to it, and I think her calling someone a womanizer is kind of angst. It's not bad or cheesy actually.
2. Circus: This song brings to light the nature of Brittney Spears. She thinks she is the center of the world, literally. She isn't saying that she is a great performer and people will appreciate her in this song, no, she's saying that she gets a rush when "everybody watches her" Does she have a reason? Yeah, she's the center of the world. See what the media does to people? Society can go fukk itself.
3. Out From Under: Musically, this song is so terrible that it made me sick to my stomach. Lyrically, Brittney is too old to be writing like a thirteen year old girl who just got dumped.

And then I listened to half of Kill the Lights.

Okay, fukk this, I can't take anymore of this b!tch. This is one of the most self-absorbed childish things I have ever heard. If I saw Brittney right now, in my room, I swear to ****king god I would tie her ass
down and perform electroshock therapy. "YOUR NOT THRITEEN! YOUR NOT THRITEEN! YOUR NOT THRITEEN!"

Nation 04-01-2009 06:36 PM

She always entertains me, no matter HOW bad it is.
Although I do gotta give her to props for being just as bad live as she is on the album.

She comes up with some pretty catchy electronic mixes, but she should nix vocals and lyrics completely.

If I could get the karaoke version, I might actually listen to it.

glutoro 04-01-2009 07:05 PM

For that type of music, yes it is pretty good. For my music taste then no its weak.

I think she is becoming once again more like she was on her second and or 3rd album.

Scarlett O'Hara 04-09-2009 05:46 AM

I don't think it was nearly as good as Blackout. I wouldn't call her music...decent...but I really enjoy singing along with my cousin to Blackout when I worked in a giftstore. It really made retail life less painful, and our boss's mustach more arched.

 She may be the "Queen of comeback"... but... yeah, she's as horny as ever... I mean "I'm not a girl" was a song written by/for a horny teenager mainstream-kinda-sad-wannabe-pop-singer. So yeah... in brief: Britney sux ass.

Im a hip hop fan but i cant stop listening to britney. Her music is that brilliant and that commercially viable. She just gets pop music like few still do.

Oh yes, commercial viability is the number one thing I look for in art.

Same here, I just knew this album would be a great success before anyone else did.

ReadyWhenCalled 03-13-2011 02:47 PM

They've got her on some decent music.. I've never been a huge fan of her sound, but they're trying to re-invent her, so if it's working then good for them.

Goblin Tears 03-13-2011 03:25 PM

This is her weakest album imo, it has a subdued, lifeless sound. The production is weird and experimental in parts, but not good enough to be noteworthy...Blackout and Femme Fatale are much better.
