overplayed...

Circus is good.

I'd have to say it's kind of weak, she grabs the media through her usual obnoxious pop techniques. It works for some people and I don't have anything against people who enjoy circus, but I'd turn the knob to another radio station.

I voted Excellent. Probably one of the best albums to ever be released. I Love it!!!!!!!
 |
I voted very good 'cuz I think she did very good on this album.

I think the critics who assume an album HAS to have deep, meaningful lyrics and not sound digitized are WRONG. They obviously only listen to one type of music then.
As a dance / club / pop album this is incredibly good. There's a lot of variety in the music. A lot of the lyrics are conceited, but hey, she IS Britney. I think the variation of the album makes this especially good. And personally I'm glad not every song was a sultry love song (Mariah Carey) or a teen romance song (Taylor Swift) or a "I'm a strong woman" song (Beyonce). There was a lot of variety on that end too. |

I'm going to listen to this entire album and get back to this thread, just because I can't hate something I didn't listen to. That would be retarded.

1.Womanizer: It has a good beat to it, and I think her calling someone a womanizer is kind of angst. It's not bad or cheesy actually. 2. Circus: This song brings to light the nature of Brittney Spears. She thinks she is the center of the world, literally. She isn't saying that she is a great performer and people will appreciate her in this song, no, she's saying that she gets a rush when "everybody watches her" Does she have a reason? Yeah, she's the center of the world. See what the media does to people? Society can go fukk itself. 3. Out From Under: Musically, this song is so terrible that it made me sick to my stomach. Lyrically, Brittney is too old to be writing like a thirteen year old girl who just got dumped. And then I listened to half of Kill the Lights. Okay, fukk this, I can't take anymore of this b!tch. This is one of the most self-absorbed childish things I have ever heard. If I saw Brittney right now, in my room, I swear to ****king god I would tie her ass down and perform electroshock therapy. "YOUR NOT THRITEEN! YOUR NOT THRITEEN! YOUR NOT THRITEEN!" |
She always entertains me, no matter HOW bad it is.
Although I do gotta give her to props for being just as bad live as she is on the album. She comes up with some pretty catchy electronic mixes, but she should nix vocals and lyrics completely. If I could get the karaoke version, I might actually listen to it. |
For that type of music, yes it is pretty good. For my music taste then no its weak.
I think she is becoming once again more like she was on her second and or 3rd album. |
I don't think it was nearly as good as Blackout. I wouldn't call her music...decent...but I really enjoy singing along with my cousin to Blackout when I worked in a giftstore. It really made retail life less painful, and our boss's mustach more arched.

Im a hip hop fan but i cant stop listening to britney. Her music is that brilliant and that commercially viable. She just gets pop music like few still do.

They've got her on some decent music.. I've never been a huge fan of her sound, but they're trying to re-invent her, so if it's working then good for them.

This is her weakest album imo, it has a subdued, lifeless sound. The production is weird and experimental in parts, but not good enough to be noteworthy...Blackout and Femme Fatale are much better.
