I actually wanna get into some Black Keys
What do people rate as their best work?

Rubber Factory gives you the raw blues-rock side of the band, and Brothers makes use of production and is a very finished album that displays a poppier side. Both are very good, as are the albums in between, before and after. It's tough to really go wrong.

I'll give it a steady 4.

I thought that they could of improved on a lot throughout the album, and most of the songs I felt were incomplete. The album had some hits in it though and that same old Black Keys feel to it. I just thought they could of done better. It was definitely a improvement since Brothers, though.

Also, the whole Lonely Boy on the radio thing, I completely agree.

I haven't really gotten into the Black Keys, so this was my first of their albums. There are some good songs there, and I really like the production, but I would like a little more variation.
My favourite tracks so far are Lonely Boy (and it's awesome music video) and Gold on the Ceiling.
I'm not sure what I would rate it, though. A place between 3 and 4, I think.

Me, when I first heard Gold on the Ceiling on the radio I knew that it wasn't 70s but felt just like it could be. I love this album, though I haven't really heard much else by them. I did listen to Thickfreakness and Brothers on Youtube, so I guess I really like the Black Keys.

I love 70s rock and so I was bound to love El Camino for that "faux vintage" feel that so many here seem to disdain.

Isn't it 70's sounding? Really like that bluesy glam rock sound they have. Everyone's crying "sellout" but IMO they really just like to explore different things.. Their early stuff was very bluesy rock, almost like Hendrix/Cream type stuff. Then they've done some real sweet poppy records, but everything seems to have that bluesy sound at the core, which I like.

I have really liked/loved every Black Keys album so far.
