Hiatus Kaiyote - Choose Your Weapon
Oh hell yeah. Awesome follow up to their debut album Tawk Tomahawk. Anybody listen to them? Liking the new album? Didn't know there was a new album until just now?

Neo/Future Soul band from Australia. They have this really groove based style with a kickass lead singer. Some of their songs are almost straight R&B, like this song that got them nominated for a grammy, like that matters...
They also have these songs that evolve into something completely different. Sometimes it's almost like a weird experimental funk band coming out of this downtempo R&B sound. It's what makes the ban unique in my eyes. The end of this song is just dirty... Then you have just haunting ass song which highlight the lead singer, Nai Palm. Girl has some serious soul in her voice. Pretty awesome band man. You'd like em. |
