How's everybody feel about them?

I think they're an excellent pop act, great fun if you're looking for something a little kitchsy and not too serious. Sadly, Americans would rather listen to Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson than a pop band that's actually good for what they are.

I don't think Americans would, you've really only looked at 13 year old girls with spears, and Clarkson isn't that bad.

personally, i got turned onto scissor sisters on accident. i came across the Return to Oz and just fell in love with it.

i like them, i think they've got something very unique going on and they're good fun! i cant listen to them for too long however, i get a bit bored.

I hate them... Pahaha, just to be the first person to post something negative.

No I just dont like them. I swear they were following me during my work experience week. Wherever I went , I heard that damn piano intro to Laura. *shudders* Yes, too damn annoying pour moi.

I don't get the hostility a lot of people have towards that cover.

A. It wasn't made for fans of Pink Floyd, it was updating a classic to make it fun and danceable for the casual listener. Which, no matter how much you love Pink Floyd, it did.
B. Most covers suck anyway.

I like 'em. I think that they are fun to listen to.

Forget killing a classic. The song was just bad, if they had written it I'd have thought it sucked. Its just aweful, I havn't heard it in awhile but from what i recall its too choppy and disjointed.

I agree completely. They were on Saturday Night Live a year or two back and they absolutely sucked. I downloaded some to see if it was just the live performance.........it wasnt. They're just annoying and have little talent.

they're pretty good, but i can't stand watching they video of the "i don't feel like dancing" song. I just hate it, it ruins the song for me

Scissor Sisters are fun. They have a bit of Queen in them (no, I don't mean that sort of queen) but with more danceability. I don't think they create masterpieces, but they make enjoyable pop, IMO.

I am quite partial to their debut. Just good kitschy pop. However by the time the poor second album hit, they had outstayed their welcome.

Scissor Sisters make me wanna roller disco.

I read they are considered 'too camp' for an american audience. Noel Gallagher called them music for squares. There just glam and disco mixed up in a giant pop blender with some vaudeville and flamboyant imagery.

lol when I studied abroad in 2006... the Scissor Sisters were huge in Florence and London!! Love their songs... good memories and fun to dance to :)

I absolutely love the scissor sisters. You may find them a cheap pop act, but I think there is a lot of depth in their music for pop. It's really hard to classify their music into one category.

Their original name was something like "dead lesbian and the fibrillating scissor sisters", and yes, the name has everything to do with lesbian sex.
