as for the indirect I think it's unfair to start calling people pretentious snobs, I'm just really into music (thanks to bands like Oasis actually) and like to talk about more than just a catchy melody, sorry for offending your tastes
i didn't mean to offend you at all....

i wasn't really speaking of you in particular, i should have thought twice about making that post, but oh well, what's done is done....but from what little i've been on here i think there is a pretty even number of nice, open minded posters and know it all pretentious ones, I didn't mean to insinuate you were the latter. I have not hidden the fact that I am no musical expert nor do I have the time (even though I'd like to) to draw very critical or heavy handed arguments about such, I just wanted to have a forum to talk about what I like and what I don't....that's all....
