Hmm ... Here comes the sun IS pretty good, but I'd have to say the very best is ... Blackbird ;)

Please also state if you want to write an extensive post on your choice if it makes the top ten. It would be nice to have a comprehensive list.

I'll do Dear Prudence
|
Yer Blues.
"...girl you know the reason why." I just love the lyrics. It descibles so much feeling in such a simple song. Slighty a parody of blues, but I find it to be serious. |
Hard to choose a favorite but this is one of my favorites that is never mentioned, The Inner Light.
If you haven't heard it: YouTube - Inner Light - George Harrison In my opinion, the wisest lyrics to come from The Beatles. |
It's gag-inducing, but my favourite Beatles tune is still Let It Be. I know, I know, I've got the nails if you've got the cross.

too many...
but Revolution is up there
|
I'll go ahead and say either Martha My Dear or Rocky Racoon and yet another Sexy Sadie......to be honest I really am having a hard time with this...very difficult to choose a favorite Beatle track.

Quote:
Martha My Dear is a fucking ill jam. They're most underrated song, if you ask me. |

"For No One"
This is sooooooooo sad ~ BWWHHHAAAAAAAAA!!! the little hopefulness that fizzes when it's 'him' he's talking about and the beautiful melody that just sort of floats around the 'her' parts i don't know nuthin about doing a review, so give me a break, okay? Honorable mentions to: "Across the Universe" ~ the song itself is like a butterfly, flitting around, and suits the lyrics perfectly, as dreadnaught pointed out; and if they had just delivered the climax to "I Want You," i would probably rate it as one of the most erotic songs i've heard |
One month is up. I will tot up the noms and send out invites for people to do a write up on individual winning tracks.
