.......Drake Bell.........

Why do I like Drake Bell? Even though the guy was on Nickelodeon he is a darn talented performer.

Teen-pop's finest act. Makes me wish he was never on television.

go....

Surell 08-03-2009 05:18 PM

Yeah, he's good If you open up your eyes, and see what's inside.

hahahaha

I seee what you did there.

I really don't see the appeal. He wrote a couple family-friendly tunes that were mediocre at best. I'm not bashing him because of his nickelodeon roots. Personally, I thought Drake and Josh had some funny moments. But he seemed to belong to that fad that Disney started to capitalize on during the "Even Stevens" years that involved kids who were mildly proficient in music starting up 'rock' groups.

Plus it probably didn't hurt that he had a a nick-funded group behind him.

I almost want to go on a Jonas Brothers rant, but that would be neither pertinent nor even slightly original. So....yeah.

someonecompletelyrandom 08-04-2009 11:59 AM

Let's leave The Jonas Brothers, Naked Brothers or whatever brothers Disney is shelling at teens at the door. Now let's pretend he never did anything for Nickelodeon.

His music is actually listenable.

But you listen to Finger Eleven, Creed, Good Charlotte, 3 Doors Down, and Three Day's Grace, so that makes sense.

Antonio 08-04-2009 12:34 PM

i've only heard bits and peices of his stuff, but it's not bad.

TumorAttitude 08-04-2009 09:54 PM

I saw him and his brother on some talkshow and I honestly thought they were *** lovers...
*listens to a few Drake Bell songs*
Yeah, he's good.

Terrible Lizard 08-04-2009 09:58 PM

Okay.... I also listen to Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Megadeath, Metallica, Black Sabbath, The Agony Scene, Bullet For My Valentine, System Of A Down, Jim Croce, Twisted Sister, Creedence Clearwater Revival. So what is your point? You got those artists off my Last.Fm chart. A: I JUST got a Last.Fm acct. B: I haven't added all of my artists yet. So, Don't say that I have listened to Drake Bell based off of very unstable facts.

You can't go dropping John Cage refferences in a forum about Drake Bell.

I wonder if Drake Bell knows who John Cage is.....outside of Mortal Kombat.

I was saying it's stupid to think that people have to have some kind of super-eclectic taste in order to justify liking commercial pop.

The bashing was directed at another guy. Not you.
And Avenged My Maiden it would make sense that you would like Drake if you listen to those other artists because... get this... they're pop music.

Let'slook at it this way:

Some kid comes up to you who likes Miley Cyrus, Limo Bizkit, T-Pain, Lil Waune, and Creed. Would you ask him for advice on music?
Judgmental, yes but that's the world we live in.

Yeah those bands you mentioned don't really don't improve anything

FETCHER. 08-20-2009 07:07 PM

aaaaa, drake bell!
used to love drake & josh when i was younger, reminded me of myself & my cousin, cept i wasnt musical haha!
but yeah i would always be singing that bloomin' intro song after a show, he has potential :)

FaSho 08-20-2009 07:13 PM

Honestly, I used to be really into Drake & Josh, but I thought Drake's singing voice was just annoying. Never heard anything from him other than what he played on the show though.

FETCHER. 08-23-2009 12:23 PM

cant say ive heard anything except show stuff either :)

And that is what I'm talking about. Judging people based on their eclecticness, I've given most of (if not all) those bands listed a spin several times but does that mean I'm pre-disposed to like something commercial?
