I love the way the media are going after his doctors now..... it's like we collectively cannot handle shocking news anymore...there' gotta be a scapegoat...

I think the fact remains that MJ could not have been too healthy if he needed all this medical attention, or if he was asking for medication...

It's like they are trying to say his doctors tried to kill him deliberately...

....anything for a juicy headline...

Arya Stark 08-01-2009 10:54 PM

It's what they do with everything, though.

Pepsi has too much money to be blamed for long.

Meds are always the problem.

Let's blame the doctors.

scottsy 08-01-2009 10:59 PM

Another good reason to not become a doctor... the constant fear of litigation for doing your job...

Arya Stark 08-01-2009 11:01 PM

Eh, that's true for a lot of jobs, though.

I'm blamed for everything at my job.

It's horrible.

scottsy 08-01-2009 11:08 PM

At my current job I just laugh if I get blamed for anything, because the issues we come across are so far from life and death, its not funny! It' kinda cool to be able to laugh it off though!

^ Off-topic, sorry, but teaching is the worst. The other day I got into trouble because a kid spontaneously came up and hugged my legs without me having time to react and I was criticised for 'touching a child inappropriately.'

scottsy 08-01-2009 11:17 PM

Oh yeah, I was totally afraid of that when I was an elementary teacher... the touch thing, especially when I was working with really young kids.... my rule was that I never initiated it, EVER and if I a kid came up and hugged me, I always said a quick "thanks, now you need to sit down"..... it can be kinda easy to be accused of doing the wrong thing... which I think completely sucks.... what a cynical world we have become...

I do think he had his enablers just as Elvis did, people that should be held somewhat accountable, but I don't think it was some murder conspiracy or any stupid sh*t like that, the guy may have been a manchild but I don't think he was so stupid as to be blissfully unaware of the toll his heavy drug use was taking on him.

say what you want but just because he died doesn't mean he's handsome.

C'mon, he was pretty seksy during the Thriller years.

It's because you break machines by looking at them. xD

And yeah, boo boo, for once I agree.

I think in his last years he was a pale imitation of the man he used to be.
