So...what... if people know them already... Nobody is making you look at them OR come into this thread. I asked you, Why do YOU post a zillion times you dont like his music constantly over and over when everybody knows your opinion, same systematic.

Where did that come from? I'm not trying to change your mind or anybody's mind. I dont KNOW YOU not to like you and that goes for anybody on this forum. For you to say that it shows where your thinking is at. I may disagree but its nothing personal.

After 30 something pages of why you dont like Michael Jackson, TRUST ME, I GET IT and Im through with it. Really dont care what you like or dont BUT let people who do appreciate's the brothas music enjoy the videos and discuss period.

You really should....:thumb:

because you dont like Michael Jackson. There are alot artists I dont prefer or have no interest in. You will never catch me back and forth in there threads saying I dont like them because I dont have to come into the thread. Its okay to say your opinion but to constantly give attention to things you dont like lol ? thats a waste of time... because you dont have to.

I cannot retort as I'm barred. My muffled retorts are around though :D

None of his other albums surpass the awesome "Off The Wall" album. Quincy Jones did an amazing job on that album!

I don't see how anyone could possibly say that album is mostly filler. That's completely ridiculous. Whoever said that obviously wasn't aware that 7 of the 9 tracks were released as singles and rocked the charts. That's not what "filler" does to the charts.

I never understood this sentiment. Don't Stop Till You Get Enough is a classic, but Off The Wall and Rock With You are the only other tracks that were really any good, IMO. I love every track in Thriller except maybe two.

I was in a restaurant with some friends and Billie Jean came on and everyone at the table was like "ugh not him." - really sad, I like his music a lot. My girlfriend's abnormal psychology professor used him as an example of Body dysmorphic disorder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You need to find some new friends.

Metal_lover 02-17-2009 06:36 AM

My fav. styel is Heavy Metal but I love Michael Jackson since I was 9 years old.I cant live without his voice!!!

Guybrush 02-17-2009 06:38 AM

^I hope he hasn't loved you since you were 9 years old.

I saw this little thing in a paper that said that he had some serious bacterial infection stuff going on in his face these days and got antibiotics intravenously. I'm glad I don't have his face.

crash_override 02-22-2009 04:28 PM

Michael was the best in his day.

HolidayG1 02-27-2009 09:54 AM

When MJ was at his best, he indeed was King. However, his last album (Invincible) waa full of mediocrity, and he hasn't had a really outstanding track in eons. Can he come back with a vengeance? Maybe in Europe, but in the USA, where ageism runs rampant, he may have more difficulty.

The Thriller updated tracks (on the 25th anniversary) were unnecessary and sooooo inferior to the originals.

LeftInCompany 02-27-2009 02:06 PM

He was a great entertainer above all on record and on stage. He's like the Tiger woods of Pop. or the other way around.... Thats all he knew grewing up apparently.

scottsy 02-28-2009 09:31 PM

A massive comeback isn't completely out of the question in my humble opinion... but good lord he is going to have to pull something better out than that invincible piece of junk he tried to flog off to the masses not so long ago.... it was quite the steaming pile of turdishness from what I heard... he needs to get himself a good producer, perhaps even a good songwriter / co - writer... and make something half decent for crying out loud. And get a permanent nose that doesn't fall off. and find a way to make himself not look like an alien.

A tall order, all of this is, I know...

7gaugejames 02-28-2009 09:45 PM

:bringit:Allright! some one who can lock past the spectacle that is the king of pop. I don't know if any of you remember the live on prime time concert he did in Budapest, for the record the most amazing entrance ever.... he just magicaly appered out of a puff a smoke and he just held still, no light show, no sound, just there, dead still... for a long time and the crowd starts to simmer down, thinking its a statuette or something... then he just snaps his head to the left and the place goes beserk... one movement, one turn of his head. and they never stopped screaming 4, 3, 2, 1..Jam. what a performer. the jackson 5 are still one my fav's or is it 5 of my fav's? i should listen to some Michael in the a.m., think i will. good night for now everyone... "you've been hit by...you been touched by a smooth criminal":bringit:

Guybrush 03-08-2009 01:14 PM

Damn, 10 minutes and all you get is a lot of "uhmmmm .." and finally "this is it" and "I love you all". Thank you Mike.

I like a lot of his 80s pop in a sort of fun-when-it-comes-on-at-the-party kind of way, like I might also like Bee Gees hits. However, MJ and his fanbase creep me out a little. Let's hope his face doesn't fall off during one of the concerts.

kniff0311 03-10-2009 05:22 PM

i am a fan of his first 2 albums but the jackson five was the ****

I dread to think how much the tickets will be for his London shows and that people will pay for them too.

ixtlan22 03-11-2009 04:26 PM

The man can dance. On car hoods. And other stuff too. And catch on fire. Well.

Edit: I would pay the money if I KNEW he was gonna catch on fire. Wow I'm an awful person. But all kidding aside... Michael Jackson is not the type one needs to see live. Go home and put on a CD and I think it would be equally as entertaining. He creeps me out now. I can't find it to post but.... has anyone seen the Robot Chicken where "the real" Michael Jackson comes back from outer space and dance battles the fake Michael? Classic.

Well my mate got VIP ones and was too embarassed to disclose it to me if that says anything!

Mojo 03-11-2009 05:40 PM

They range from £50 to 75.

PinkCigarette 03-13-2009 08:52 PM

Music when Michael was black > Music when Michael was white.

It just went down hill after he switched sides.

Darkest Hour 03-13-2009 10:10 PM

old michael jackson was the ****, i still bump to billy jean

PartisanRanger 03-14-2009 08:34 PM

All 750k of the tickets to Michael's London concerts sold out in 4 hours. Damn. I have to say, it would be cool to see him live.

crash_override 03-17-2009 11:59 AM

Love this guy. Music is top notch.

Keigh 03-18-2009 09:22 AM

I love the old stuff. When he was with the Jackson 5. Everything up to his first solo album. Then after BAD, I left him alone though he still had some juice left with "Remember the Time" and "Jam".

He'll be back. He has too many fans all over the world who still love him not to. Some who will travel from the US to wherever he is in the world. He knows he could wipe out most of his debts with a couple tours, especially if people think it's his last. One last hurrah before he goes to Neverland, Alcatraz, the nuthouse or wherever he's going forever.

He's never been found guilty of being a child molester, he's only been accused.

Do I believe he is a child molester? Honestly, no. I think he's weird but I think his behaviour comes from missing out on his own childhood. He never got to grow up like a normal kid so he's trying to live out a childhood now....and that's weird to see an adult do that.

He tried to make a comeback before and look what happened.....pretty much nothing. He sold out his concerts, great, but nothing newsworthy will come out of it and he'll disappear off the face of the earth again.

Mojo 03-18-2009 10:05 AM

Even if he is a child molester I dont see what that had to do with the question. Anyway, he sold out all his dates at the O2 which is pretty damn impressive.

Molecules 03-18-2009 10:31 AM

a deeply unsettling man, but Off the Wall and Thriller are f*cking classics tbh.
And I used to have a copy of that 90's greatest hits on cassette =/

Kevorkian Logic 03-18-2009 12:07 PM

I personally do not care for Jackson's music at all. I do not understand why all of his concerts sold out. Is it the weird factor?? Can someone please explain the appeal of Jackson's music to me?

At its best his music is very catchy and very good pop music. He's also changed his sound quite a bit over the years while somehow still managing to retain a distinct style all his own.

His earlier work was far greater than his crappy newer material. I personally LOVE Dirty Diana.

I might be alone on this but I find Thriller to be overrated as hell. Yes, it's a good song, but not THAT great. People act as if it's the greatest song ever made.

I have to say I've never liked "Dirty Diana" but I agree with you that his earlier stuff was much, much better. Although even there he has a lot of filler on his albums.
