If you're this affected by an artist's personal life, you should probably avoid reading about them altogether. As a precaution I'd advise you to stay away from any information involving Keith Moon's life if "poor, ****ed up" choices are a deal-breaker for you, lest you lose the taste for a legendary rock band.

Son? Lol. If you care to read any of my posts you would know that I know just a little about music and can deduce that six posts in nearly two months that consist of MJ worship tell me that you are a fanboy. If you had posted on a variety of bands with reasoned arguments or counter balance then i would not have butted into this thread at this time.

you haven't given me any impressive motive to do that yet, son.

maybe you should try reading my 6 posts that you thoughtfully deduced and actually contributing to the topic in discussion.

Call me son once more and I will just ban your ass. Show me a well written and concise post about music and I will then begin to take notice.

He's not going to post about music he's already admitted to joining purely to to talk about Michael Jackson. I don't see the point, he released a couple decent albums in the eighties and was good in the Jackson 5 then he decided touching boys and releasing shitty pop albums was a better way to spend his time.

I've not seen you say anything constructive yet. If you look at the majority of the posts in this thread most of them spell out what people like about Jackson & what they dislike , I don't consider that to be narrow minded at all. When are you and your buddy going to post something 'constructive' instead of being a Jackson apologist for everything.

i don't buy that argument unless you're telling me the average age in this joint is 13.

i've come across too many young music lovers who are fans of material beyond the marketed fluff put out by today's labels (or Disney) and before their time - actually all you hear on the net is bitching over how ****ed up our current industry is. a common issue is kids growing up listening to their parents' tastes and actually digging the music. and many others at the least can recognise and respect the foundational work which led to the inspiration of today's music (be it mainstream or 'underground'), otherwise why the toss would you be on a dedicated music board, lol.

i'm willing to take another intelligent guess and say that the young demographic you're referring to here are mainly fans of bands and acts who were in their prime from before our time.
I like how you chose to ignore the real point. There's nothing wrong with wanting to listen to old artists , but I would say a large majority of those old artists have never been in the news everyday with odd behaviour rather than for their music. But he over relies on his back catalogue and his new material is weak. People want bands they can relate to. Jackson has been out of touch for decades and is in his 50s. He might get new fans from his old material but the point is he's never going to make any huge significant fans with his new material. And that's without even mentioning the fact he slept with kids either.

I am seeing a lot of elements of Michael Jackson's old tunes in Rihanna's music. Can't seem to recall which one but I hear Michael in the background.

Hey, count me in too. He's one of the only musicians I can think of who manages to be somehow both overrated and underrated at the same time.

It was most likely a sample. Fucking Rihanna.
