I love Soft Cell, and my favorite era was with the second and third albums. They were getting into some very dark areas for the Pop scene of the day. Highlighted by hanging out with Underground musicians like PTV and Jim Thirlwell plus Marc's Marc and the Mambas project releasing two albums along with Soft Cell's music, that was a great time with some of the most interesting sounds. Great stuff!

^^erm, interesting

i feel they don't really have an identity?

the first song's kinda proto-industrial, the second is garage and the third is some MOR crap

Interesting fact: Trio were produced by Kalus Voormann.

A gem not mentioned much. A stand-alone single until the Greatest Hits album, with the B featuring a version of "Call In the Night Boy" with Mark and Piano only, this was not a big hit but remained a favorite of fans. The bridge between The Party's Over and It's My Life.

This will be all for now. The title track to their second, and arguably best, album.

One more today. Best off to end a day's worth of posting with a serious classic.

I love that song, I always thought that the late 70s early 80s had the best synth music (pop or underground) before it got real cheesy around the mid 80s onward.
