I just looked up Trio again to learn that they did use real drums and a real guitar, although not in all songs, in addition to the illustrious Casio VL-1. I realized I'd never heard any of Trio's music besides "Da Da Da."

So I decided to listen to more of Trio's songs and found out I like them! Some aren't technically synthpop, though. So do I post them here? Or do I not? I think I'll go find a spot for more Trio songs in the New Wave section or Neue Deutche Welle thread (if one exists).

that's the only song of theirs I know

Bah, I couldn't find the New Wave section and I'm too apathetic at this moment to make a Deutche Welle Thread, so I'll post a few more Trio songs here. They *do* include the Casio (sometimes), so that's synthpoppy.

Trio - Bum Bum
Here is my time to confess that my music fetish is German. :) I'll like pretty much any song with German in it.

Trio - Bye Bye
They sound like MGMT here! Huh. Not synthpop, though.

Trio - Girl, Girl, Girl
Also not synthpop. :(

Wait! Here's one of their songs that uses some synthesizer! Phew! Back on track:

Trio - Ready for You

^^erm, interesting

i feel they don't really have an identity?

the first song's kinda proto-industrial, the second is garage and the third is some MOR crap

I think Trio's main identity is "Da Da Da!"

Okay, here's another song by Trio. I see simplicity and a bit of quirkiness as their main identity. So what genre would you put this song in? (The "erm" genre? ;))

Trio - Herz Ist Trumpf
German!!!

that sounds Devo-ish

Azul y Negro: Me estoy volviendo loco ("I'm Losing My Mind"). Very popular in the early 80's.

♫ "Me estoy volviendo loco.................I'm losing my mind.
Me estoy volviendo loco......................I'm losing my mind.
Me estoy volviendo loco.....................I'm losing my mind.
Poco a poco................Little by little

In that case, this thread urgently needs these two Kraftwerk songs:

^^i have the entire Kraftwerk discog, including the Organisation album, but i'm hesitant to call them "synth-pop"
