It's not current enough and doesn't fit into the charts any more. I don't think being in the charts does Oasis justice anyway. Glasto is more there scene.

Yeah Britpop makes me think of Oasis, Blur, Supergrass, Cast, Shed7. Not New Order. Shame it didn't evolve, or did it?

No because it's not as popular as it was. Does it even exist really now?

Its been Post Brit-pop since the late 90s with The Verve's album Urban Hymns. (1997)

They have. My friend saw them do Dog Man Star a couple of weeks ago, and they're doing some festivals.

Honestly don't know. Wikipedia will probably have the answer.

But you cannot say that there is no quality music out there...

Adele, Eliza Doolittle, Coldplay and many more...

I don't think this thread is a knock on present British bands. Of course there is some good music being put out presently by Great Britain (it is the same thing with Sweden..the music scene here did not just die out after Abba and Roxette ;) )..but there was a time when there was a massive amount of really great music being put out in the 80's/90's from there..then it seemed to trickle down to a few...and hence bring back Britpop.

Bush recently put out a new single and is putting out an album in September. I don't know if it will be as good as "Sixteen Stone" but so far it doesn't sound so bad.

Look at Pulp their tour this summer is incredible thus far according to the majority of publications I have read and listening to their gigs they seem to have matured in a good way.

Blur, Oasis, Suede, The Verve and Pulp are all heard pretty regularly on music stations and radio, in bars etc.

Mat Osman is their bass player and was always in Suede. I'm sure you meant Richard Oakes though and yeah it's with him instead of with Bernard Butler.
