During which song?

CalebG 10-29-2007 11:29 PM

Welll, in my personal opinion the new album will be their last and sales will be dissappointing. It is not that I don't like them, I just think their time is finally about to be up. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. And it has been 10 years, not 15. They hit superstardom in 1997 I believe.

harvey96 12-05-2007 05:41 PM

Anybody going for the BSB concert in Hawaii? How much is the ticket you bought?

ShadowsScream 07-10-2010 12:51 AM

I still like the Backstreet Boys. Of course they arent as popular as they used to be. I think its great that they're still making music.

scottsy 07-17-2010 03:44 PM

What is the point of groups like the Backstreet Boys if they aren't popular anymore? Aren't they just cash cows anyways? I don't geddit...

Tea Supremacist 07-18-2010 01:08 PM

Are they really still going? I thought the boyband (or manband or whatever the feck you wanna call 'em these days) market had died out somewhat...?

That market has long been dead, but they're attempting a comeback, regardless. Good luck to 'em.

cupkayke 07-19-2010 11:29 PM

What may surprise you is that many people still go out to see them. It's the lasting fans that keep them active. They've kind of gone into the "Hanson-style" of music. Generating fans and money while remaining under the radar.

scottsy 07-20-2010 09:30 AM

I bet the people who go to see them are just nostalgic late twenty / early thirty year olds who wanna re - live a bit of their fading youth... and before people get all pissy with me for saying that, i fall directly into that age bracket...lol...

telepicker 07-21-2010 01:48 PM

why is this even on this board?

Backstreet Boys aren't "music"; they're cartoon characters.

fritter 07-30-2010 09:02 AM

Millenium was the first album I ever owned :(

scottsy 07-30-2010 12:18 PM

I guess we all have to start somewhere... my first album was a Richard Marx album, so, really, that wasa terrible start for me. I have gone on, (I think) to much better and brighter things...

IWP 12-27-2010 11:57 PM

My girlfriend wants me to go to their show with her. Admittely, I kinda dig some of their music even if I really shouldn't. =P Definently a guilty pleasure.

6underground 12-28-2010 12:04 AM

Backstreet Boys are still playing? Really?

(Somewhere inside me a prepubescent girl is screaming joyously)

IWP 12-28-2010 12:06 AM

Yeah, surprisingly, they're still making new music despite the fact that boy bands haven't been in since like 2001.

I don't believe that. I think you need to...

QUIT PLAYING GAMES WITH MY HEART

IWP 12-28-2010 02:58 PM

Why don't you go SHOW ME THE MEANING OF BEING THE LONELY first?

djchameleon 01-25-2011 07:54 AM

you know what I love to tease N-stink fans because BSB is still around making songs/hits while their little band fumbled and fell apart. Clearly BSB is superior.

Kristen01 01-28-2011 03:33 PM

Haven't heard any of their new music, but i use to be a fan when i was in my pre teens :)

Kristen01 01-28-2011 03:35 PM

Didn't they perform with New Kids on the block at some awards show???

I love how these boy bands are coming back, Next thing you know N'SYNC will get back together.

BombTheMusicIndustry 01-28-2011 06:16 PM

I only really like Backstreet Boys older stuff. But yeah, it is kind of weird that boy bands are coming back.

scottsy 01-29-2011 02:19 PM

It's not just wierd, it's kinda sad... they're past it now, they've had their time and it's kind of annoying to see a bunch of middle aged dudes thinking they're the **** all over again...

djchameleon 01-29-2011 06:01 PM

yeah but the thing is BSB never went away. They have always been around so I don't think they are trying to act like they are the **** all over again.

Deathhawk 04-06-2011 01:54 PM

The boy band genre was always a guilty pleasure of mine. When I was in middle school/early high school to save face you had to say they sucked or whatever, but truthfully they (The Backstreet Boys) had a lot of good, catchy singles...

MNadezdaM 04-10-2011 07:42 AM

oh yeah) a remember how i and my friend were singing their "i want it that way" in the night walking on the Moscow streets.

Howard the Duck 04-10-2011 08:11 AM

i love 'em

i love Max Martin's songs penned for them, also

he also wrote Adam Lambert's What do ya want from me?

newinfo 06-02-2011 02:07 AM

Boy Bands rule!!!!

Shoebox 06-02-2011 10:13 AM

Oh, the Backstreets Boys! I used to love them when I was 7-9 years old. My family and I lived in California at the time (98-00) and I remember boy bands being very popular; always played on the radio and on television. I still find songs like "Everybody" a bit catchy. Before moving to the states, Spice Girls and Aqua were my favourites.

LinusZsvenning 06-09-2011 07:36 AM

I've always love BSB aswel! And i hope for a huge comeback! :D

They're a big hit during their time. I always love listening to their songs, Larger Than Life, Everybody, Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely. It's a wonderful thing that they're doing a comeback. Many people truly miss their music and style.:)
