What 80's Pop Song Is This?
 

I've been trying to find this song for a few years. My kids think I am nuts.

Its like a 'boy band' and I believe they're British, and part of the song goes.
'If you stand by' A band sort of like Madness, but I can't remember.
Can any help? Cause every damn song mentioned is a newer one that I've never heard before and is not it, plus I get 100 responses on Stand By Me or Stand By Your Man. It is frustrating.

The Clash?

Nope. It is a choral type singing when they sing 'when you stand by' Wasn't Train in Vain, that was the other one they kept putting on the google list. There was two refrains, one said 'if you stand by' the other was 'when you stand by' There is no such wording in Train in Vain. I have lots of Clash stuff, and I know the song. Thanks anyway.
