Well produced video: great editing and transitions; loads of energy. Really like the intro to an excellent song. |
|
Dance formations, outfits and facial expressions fit perfectly with the song |
Superb kinetic MV with a song that manages to combine pop; rap and country music |
Ice Cream Cake remixed version with an awesome dance break |
Some sludgy grunge to bring some variety to this thread. |
Because Donita's dance moves.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQfbw6e2Yz4 I wanted more of the neon rollerbladers and less of the monster goo, but it's a good video. |
Another great dance break |
Such a fun MV and song |
Well, good thing we all just LOVE K-Pop.

This one idrc if you move and don't replace. "Performance" art is more niche to certain genres (like K-pop). I guess it could relate to live shows? Then again I'm sure there's already a thread devoted to such a thing. |

and let's keep this grunge going to counter-act all the Kpop. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99j0zLuNhi8 Oops! I was supposed to post good grunge, wasn't I? My mouse finger slipped. |

More like Scott Stahp

This would've probably fit better in the unpopular opinions thread, but I actually like Creed. Not really their two big singles, but I will defend Bullets from Weathered as one of the best alt metal songs.
Anyway, good picks with Kyuss and Sponge, now some Sugartooth: |

I think convincing many in here that it's even decent would be an uphill battle. But I'd like to see him try it. Just for fun.
I haven't actually heard it. |

I won't fight a losing battle, but here's the song: Even people who don't like Creed usually admit that this is good. |

Well, some of the riffs are fairly neat, so that's something.
Don't really know what defines alt metal so I don't know what track I'd "counter" with, as being the best of the genre. Maybe something from Waltari, if they count. Waltari - Helsinki https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dehnqVEmdbs Not necessarily that song, although it's one of my faves for sure. |

It was pretty good too, never really listened to them before despite being aware of them for years. I've been meaning to check them out for a while, what's an album you'd recommend as a good starting point? |

I'm not much of a grunge person generally but keep grungeing up this thread, I kinda like this Butthole Surfers stuff |
Waltari are a bit of an odd bunch. The only album I've heard from them is Big Bang but I like experimental alt metal so I could see myself listening to more of them in the future.
Nothingface are one of my favorite alt metal groups. They were fairly active until last year when their lead singer, Matt Holt, died. Really unfortunate. Not a huge fan of this song but they didn't make many music videos so this is the best I can do. I recommend looking at stuff from their album Violence from 2000. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyqC0dZlvmU Helmet, a classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9346rQ1d8ik And Mudvayne dressed like idiots but played some good music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nVvojfQVBY |
Here's a better Nothingface song with a video:
To keep in with the grunge theme: |

Below Zero might be a good starting point for a metalhead, actually, since that one is a bit more stylistically focused. |

If anything, just change the title.

Slo-mo hair flips, slick production. |
Love Wendy's shine on me bit |
