I love Pop especially the Bee Gees and the Eagles. Still love the Carpenters, Mamas and Papas, and others. Guess y'all can tell I like the Oldies :laughing:

I think pop music has change considerably since the 90's. For instance, there are bands which I loved on the 90's such as Backstreet Boys and Christina Aguilera, but I think their sound right now has change and I do not dig it as much. I do not think it's their fault thought. I think it is because they are just keeping up with the times and what the music market as created as pop music standard. Does anyone feel the same way?

The so called "pop " music of today is utterly void of any true artistic value. The golden era of the mid 60s to early 70s has to be considered the cream of the crop where pop music is concerned......

I agree Bee Gees, The Eagles, Mamas and Papas,not to keen on the carpenters thou bit mushy for me.

I like some modern pop, like Swift's Fearless album and Katie Melua. But honestly., there's no genre called pop. It's just music made for commercial appeal, rock could be pop, jazz could be pop (Kenny G), metal could be pop (many examples).
