Default Haim

HAIM is pretty much three sisters playing together. Este, Danielle and Alana Haim , along with drummer Dash Hutton.

HAIM's sound has been described as "nu-folk-meets-nineties-R&B" Jay-Z's manangement company signed them up so they are part of Roc Nation.

They do pop so well imo. I can't wait to hear more material from them in the future.

The Wire

Falling

My Song 5

This is not my scene at all. I will never understand how the weak-sauce of the 1980's ever got popular. The pop then (and this) was so...waif-y. It just feels like they're bored in some respects.

I thought this was some combo between Billy Joel and, I don't know, Blondie maybe? Either way, its just not for me.

Song 5 has a little more bite to it. Still, wouldn't seek it out.

Yeah, this is them. I don't recall any of those as the song I liked so maybe I imagined it.

Catchy tunes but they may just be the flavor of the year. Not sure which song is their one hit wonder. They may need to adjust their dosage.

So, I'd like to amend my comments. They're growing on me.

I listened to some album full of new **** Columbia is releasing and The Wire was on it. I told myself before I put the record on that I'd listen to everything no matter how **** it was. I ended up listening to The Wire a few times.

I still think they are, for the most part, a little to airy for me. But I'm willing to give them another chance.

I had no idea it was them on Red Eye. I loved that track even before knowing this but it makes me like it even more.

Thank god their sisters. That's exactly the kind of the bassist Courtney Love would try to jack under normal circumstances.

The Wire's a good song, and I like "If I Could Change Your Mind" a loooot, like a whole lot, I think you put it best, it's pop music at its poppiest but not in a shitty Spice Girls way. They're very 80s but they're great with a melody too, which is all I really ask for with a pop artist.

they're a big part of a scene that is getting really stale, and some of the hate they get is warranted, but the wire, forever, and honey & I are just so undeniably catchy and fun
