phil collins era genesis - for the better?

do any of you listen to all of genesis? i hate most prog, but remember a few hits from the phil collins era, when they went pop. phil collins' vocals are an acquired taste, but his drumming is quite exciting. today i blew 50 pence on the comp, turn it on again - the hits, solely for the monster hit, turn it on again. well, it turns out it holds a few more surprises, though invisible touch is as annoying as ever. a keeper, then, and all the genesis i'll ever need.

He was a better drummer then singer. Instead of hiring a outside singer they just gave Phil the job. Not even a formal interview? Can you believe it.......................?

There is that era in the 80's where I basically can't tell the difference between "Genesis" and Phil Collin's solo stuff.

I never had an issue with his voice. Regardless, he was definitely a good songwriter.

I still prefer the Peter Gabrial era.

Turn It On Again from the '80 album Duke is a song I don't mind hearing played on the radio once in awhile.
