She has spent over 100 weeks on the UK charts, was nominated for Brit Awards several times as a solo artist and collected several Gold/Platinum records from the BPI...not bad

I always thought Geri was underrated. Her music was fun and had a quirky uniqueness to it, a boisterous charm. She also wrote her own music (a rarity in 'bubble-gum' pop artists). :clap:

Seems like she started to fizzle out during the last decade or so, and the bio writer was trying find ways to embellish. Half a million hit's isn't really that big of a deal by todays standards. I had no idea of just how huge she was in the UK though.

No its not huge, but it is decent considering it was only released in one country and not heavily promoted.

But Its raining men is the Weathergirls tho.

She released a cover version. Pretty terrible though.

I know she did, the op was trying desperately to pin that hit on her instead of the two BBBWs who actually sang it.

Geri's version is far superior. The tempo is more upbeat and catchy, Geri adds an undeniable charm and charisma to it. The video is fun...she is the very essence of pop music.
