Will Maggie Rogers ever put out an album?
 

I was so impressed with her in that Pharrell video, and have been listening to her song Alaska for months. But now all I can think is 'I want more.' Any of you who pay more attention to the music scene know if she is planning on making more music? Or was it a one-off music project?

So I did some quick digging around and I believe she might have gotten signed. Some of her earlier work on soundcloud was taking down but it's over on bandcamp. Sometimes labels make artists take down their stuff when they first sign them or maybe she just did it on her own but I'm sure she'll release an album probably summer next year or in the spring. Based off of that video it sounds like she has a lot of music already that she worked on.

I'm sure she does. No doubt currently she is working with label. Let's see, Alaska is a first single. Usually artists make 2-4 singles in a year before album release. So djchameleon was right. She will drop it spring-summer.

As you get used to the forum, you should also get familiar with the search function and if you don't find a thread there. Use google the name of the thread you want to create then put musicbanter at the end. If it still doesn't exist, you can create a thread on it. Instead of creating a thread that already exists.

Only in your point of view I was quick, but in another universe, it actually took me several hours to make that post. Think about that for a second.

I mean I don't think she expected the masterclass to have the impact it did. She probably isn't ready to put out an album. I'm sure that whole thing definitely moved up her timeline

What is that people like so much about these songs? Serious question. Nothing I heard jumped out at me but I don't know if it's just my mood or the fact I'm not listening on very good speakers.

I actually wasn't making a statement of any kind, I was just asking what people liked about the music. That's why I indicated that my question was not rhetorical.
