Who is THE pop princess/queen whatever?

Some would say Madonna.

But I have to go with Britney. She never had to change her style drastically to stay interesting, she held on to her southern accent (own identity) and it's hard not to get lost in looking at her perform. I know she lip syncs like crazy and I hate lip syncing, but... It's Britney, bitch!

I think she's so lucky to have the worlds greatest and innovative pop music composers lining up to have a chance to write something for her. I mean, Blackout was mindblowing, but I also adore Circus and Femme Fatale.

Composers and studio technicians speak warmly about her work ethics too, and she gives credit where credit is due (doesnt put her on name on the songwriting credits instead of the real writer, like Beyonce).

She wrote and produced some songs herself, one I particularly love is named "Brave new girl", which sorta reminds me of "Funky town".

It is a good question. I don't like her but Madonna because she has influenced many people including Britney Spears. I wish Britney Spears and Madonna had done a duet album together. They should do it. They are both very sexual. You could see them being a lesbian duo musically speaking. I could songs they sing about each other's bodies.

These days I don't know. Ariana Grande? **** knows.

But I came in to say Kate Bush.

TopLads of the forum are Kate fans.

What does MFW mean? Like my toes wiggle? Like did your toes wiggle when Apostrophe (') became a top-selling album? How could you forget to cite Valley Girl? That like totally puts Zappa into the Pop scene man. Like his daughter Moon Unit sang fer sure, but it was like on his album "Live At The Witch Trials."
Moon Zappa Valley Girl

Frownland 03-27-2018 06:55 PM

It was on Hex Enduction Hour, not Live at the Witch Trials.

Kate Bush is too arty, proggy and genre hopping that I'd consider her just "pop".

I have to say Madonna. Anything and everything in pop music that has happened since her prime has all been a result of her.

Having said that, there are plenty of other ladies I much prefer to her, including Britney, but credit where credit is due and all that :)

Black Francis 04-24-2018 02:40 PM

Mardonna is the queen.
