Rate a song "Hey Ya" by OutKast

It's one of generally well liked hit songs.
I'll give it 4 stars.
You?

Unitron 11-05-2018 03:55 PM

Not my favorite OutKast song, but it's pretty catchy and kind of nostalgic.

I'd say 3 stars.

K Addict 11-05-2018 04:04 PM

Catchy song, clever retro and enjoyable MV: definitely at least 3 stars

windsock 11-05-2018 05:04 PM

A legendary tune. You can make a thousand beard rock covers and I won't even care cause the song is just that well made.

Songs become hits because they're generally well liked. Just saying.

Even that Aerosmith song in Armageddon?

Black Francis 11-05-2018 05:16 PM

Are you kidding me? This song ripped off the chord progression of Alec eiffel from The Pixies. Outkast? More like Outright musical thieves.

0/10!

[MERIT] 11-05-2018 05:23 PM

It's catchier than it should be, so I give it a 4/5.

I heard that if you say the name of it three times into a mirror at night, you can summon Steven Tyler's shadow form

He comes with a hook, and not the kind that makes good pop songs.

Oriphiel 11-05-2018 05:47 PM

OH GOD, I SAID IT, WHAT HAVE I DONE

windsock 11-05-2018 07:37 PM

There's both an Aerosmith and ST song on that soundtrack, isn't there? I got the CD in a 5 dollar "mystery goodie bag" and I've never heard anything more abhorrent on my ears. Problem is, I don't know which is worse.

Unitron 11-05-2018 07:52 PM

You can't get much worse than an Aerosmith ballad, even Joe Perry hates every single one that they've done other than "Seasons of Wither".

Though the ST one might be worse, seeing as it must have been so bad that the rest of the band just refused to perform it.

Black Francis 11-05-2018 08:04 PM

Yea right, like im the only one that jerked off to their crazy video.

Cuz its a cool vid, right? Whats not to like!

Glad you like it too.

windsock 11-05-2018 09:02 PM

It really is. It's a great showcase of Aerosmith's quirkiness and sort of misfit-esque stature in rock.

You have five lines of five stars that's 25 stars in the poll all together. Are you giving it four empty stars or four filled-in stars?

Mhm. And he mentions flamingos at one point which are pink.

Zhanteimi 11-05-2018 09:38 PM

Three stars, but only because it doesn't stand up to the best songs on this amazing double album. If I heard the song in isolation, though, I'd probably give it 4.

Zhanteimi 11-05-2018 09:40 PM

My sister-in-law made me sing "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" at her wedding reception.

Srry to hear that. Must've been awful.

What? They do? First time I've heard that. Next thing you know, you'll be telling me that chocolate milk doesn't come from brown cows.

Starship's We Built This City begs to differ.
